Steakhouse group Hawksmoor knows a thing or two about Sunday roasts, replicating the traditional method of roasting meats over an open fire for optimum results. The best way to experience its roasts is with its Sunday Feasting menu, where diners can choose from any of its blackboard sharing cuts and add trimmings such as cauliflower cheese, celeriac mash and sausage gravy, or try roasted bone marrow and onions (its Yorkshire puddings are also sublime). Korean Grill Kensington
KGK is the first and only Korean grill in the Kensington area - and the only restaurant in London to offer a Korean Omakase dining experience. Omakase literally means ‘I leave it up to you,’ diners leave it up to the chef to select and serve seasonal specialities.
KGK offers a journey into Korean dining BBQ culture. Each table at KGK has an inbuilt tabletop style grill for a traditional Korean BBQ cuisine of grilling meat over a hot grill in the centre of the table. Diners will be provided with chopsticks and tongues to grill (and a good tip is only to flip the meat once for a good texture of meat!) Non marinated yummy Japanese Wagyu rib eye steak is on the menu to grill as well as whole tiger prawns and seasonal vegetables for non- meat options.
KGK isoffering lunchtime set menus between £22-25; Korean salads, a choice of Bulgogi (marinated beef), rice/soup, bibimbap and seasonal dessert like Soybean ice-cream to enjoy with friends. A vegan menu that is reminiscent of a day at a Buddhist temple and will include hot stone rice dishes. The evening menu A La Carte comes in at around £65 per head and the pièce de résistance the Chef’s Omakase experience.

The Lanesborough Grill, Hyde Park Corner
For the king of Sunday roasts, the only place to head is the Lanesborough Grill at the Lanesborough Hotel, where antique trolleys and tableside carving whisk diners back to a time of old-fashioned decadence. Chef Shay Cooper has created a menu of unashamedly classic British dishes, from starters of Coronation crab salad or sweet garlic risotto to mains of roast sirloin of beef, Scottish halibut, Rhug Estate lamb, and beef Wellington, all prepared deftly at the table by immaculately dressed waiting staff for the ultimate Sunday experience. The intimate café has just 16 covers, and serves an exquisite array of hot dishes from 11.30am-3pm, with cold dishes and deli plates until 7pm, accompanied by a range of fine wines, champagne and vodka.
