A pre-owned dress and a home-crafted hat won milliner Stephanie Corlett the title of Best Dressed at the Boodles May Festival at Chester Racecourse.
Stephanie, from Maghull, Merseyside, bought the Topshop vintage dress for £25 from Vinted just before the event and then remade her hairpiece, changing the colour from yellow to red at the last minute. Stephanie creates bespoke fascinators, headbands and hats through her business, Stephanie Elizabeth Millinery,
She won an £8,000 Boodles pendant, a £500 Cheshire Oaks voucher, a subscription to Cheshire Life, Laurent Perrier champagne and an Edinburgh Gin Garden Gift Set.
In second place was Stephen Berry from Liverpool, and Lucy Cortez who travelled from her home in Essex for Ladies' Day came third. The winning trio was chosen from hundreds of stylish racegoers by Cheshire Life editor Joanne Goodwin and Beki Gregory, senior content co-ordinator and UK stylist for McArthur Glen Designer Outlets.
