A Worcestershire village has been named among the UK’s poshest villages by The Telegraph.
Introducing the list, the newspaper said: “With exclusive research provided by Savills, Telegraph Money can reveal the most desirable villages, based on the combination of highest house prices, best lifestyle amenities, connectivity and aesthetic appeal.”
Dodford with Grafton was the only Worcestershire village to be recognised in the list as The Telegraph’s list features one in each county or region.
What did The Telegraph say about Dodford with Grafton?
The Telegraph described Dodford with Grafton as a “well-to-do village” and explained that it has a “luxury hotel with links to the 11th century”.
It also highlighted that there is a Waitrose in nearby Bromsgrove where you’ll also find Bromsgrove School – “one of the country’s leading independent day and boarding schools.”

The Telegraph said: “The majority of homes in Dodford with Grafton are at least 125 years old, testament to the history and good upkeep of this well-to-do village.

“Grafton Manor, which was rebuilt in 1860 following a fire a century earlier, began as a Norman estate given to Urso d'Abitot by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. It is now a luxury hotel and wedding venue.
“The village is less than a 10 minute drive from Bromsgrove, where you can find a local Waitrose as well as Bromsgrove School, one of the country’s leading independent day and boarding schools.”
The newspaper said the average house price in Dodford with Grafton is £599,216.
