A "magnificent" thatched cottage in Dorset has been named among the six best holiday homes in the UK for 2024.
Thatch Cottage in Wimborne was included among other properties in Bath, Oxfordshire, Edinburgh, Herefordshire and the Isle of Skye.
The properties all feature special outdoor amenities that are inspiring Brits to look closer to home when considering a holiday for 2024.
The Vrbo Holiday Homes of the Year list features stunning beach view homes, unique cottage escapes, modern city stays and historical houses, all in the UK.

What is the Wimborne cottage like?
In the write-up on The Sun it said: "Next up on the list is a magnificent thatched cottage in Wimborne, Dorset, that was built more than 300 years and was a broom factory in the 1900’s.
"The heart of this picturesque home lies in its captivating, enclosed courtyard, featuring ample seating, a sizeable and inviting pool, an indulgent jacuzzi and sun terraces.
"It is perfect for both relaxation and family gatherings and even has its own private pub for guests to make the most of."
The cottage can sleep as many as 22 people in its 10 bedrooms and can be booked for a stay at the Vrbo website here.
One reviewer wrote: "We travelled to Thatch Cottage for a three night stay for my 50th birthday extravaganza. The communication with our hosts as excellent and the check-in process was simple. The property is amazing and the facilities were perfect for our needs."
Another posted: "Excellent stay with a large group of friends beautiful pool and hot tub. Facilities were great a big table to share meals with plenty of utensils. Great location."

Meanwhile, another added: "The house and pool were stunning. We chose a beautiful weekend in September and were able to make full use of the amazing pool. The pool area was in full sunshine but there was plenty of umbrellas for shade if needed.
"There is a lovely mature garden at the back with plenty of both sunshine and shady areas.
"Having our own pub in the garden was just brilliant and we made good use of this area, even hosting our own pub quiz night!
"The layout of the house was very unique and the bedrooms were good sizes. Would definitely recommend it!"
