A 1984 Ford 'Tickford Turbo' Capri is up for auction and is expected to fetch up to £50,000.
The white car has been rebuilt after it was once wrecked in a fire and it will be auctioned at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show Sale at the NEC in Birmingham which takes place on March 23 and 24.
Classic Car Auctions (CCA) describes the Aston Martin-built vehicle as the 'Holy Grail' of Capris.
Car that had an engine fire to go up for auction in March
CCA said: "This particular car was cut short in its prime by an engine fire, but has been returned to spectacular form, like a Phoenix arising from the ashes.
"Well-known within the Tickford community, it is now superbly presented in gleaming pearlescent white with an unmarked Grey Recaro interior and offers 0-60mph in 6.0 seconds and 140mph."
The seller bought the car in 2019 after the engine caught fire whilst driving and the car has undergone a total rebuild over the course of three years.
The shell was completely taken back to bare metal, new panels were fitted where required and it was treated to a number of coats of white paint.

Although having only covered some 42,000 miles, the engine was also completely rebuilt and a new wiring loom was fitted at the same time.
CCA said: "It's believed that in excess of £50,000 has been invested on bringing this rare Tickford back from its early demise and it's now 'new-pin' ready."
The auctioneers add that the remarkable Capri will be featured shortly in Classic Ford magazine, "further enhancing its exposure and provenance".
