Juno Omakase, Notting Hill

London's new six-seater omakase restaurant — thought to be the country's smallest — promises a “Tokyo meets Tulum” dining experience and the “world's first” gluten and nut free omakase menu.

Juno Omakase can be found above Los Mochis in Notting Hill, with executive chef Leonard Tanyag at the helm, formerly of Zuma, along with head chef Han Heung, late of Nobu and Roka.

Juno Omakase serves a £180-per-person menu, expanding on the existing pan-Pacific ethos wherein Mexico and Japan meet. In true omakase fashion, Juno doesn't have a published menu, but serves the best calibre fish and seafood it can obtain each day from a range of sustainable suppliers.

Omakase, which translates to “I leave it up to you”, has recently become something of a mainstay of London's high-end dining scene. Several new restaurants dedicated to it, including Sushi Kaneska, Ine and Uosei, all opened last year, with prices reaching as high as £420-a-head.

At Juno guests can indulge in 15 creative courses with a dedicated sommelier offering exquisite wine, sake, and agave pairings.
