The Big Cat Sanctuary, in Smarden just outside Ashford, is home to everything from African and Asiatic lions and and Amur tigers to civets, legers and snow leopards, with a visit allowing you to see the animals in all their magnificence, without even leaving the county. Explore the natural world at The Big Cat Sanctuary Open Day
This year, the Big Cat Sanctuary’s Open Days run from Wednesday, July 24 to Sunday, July 28. Expect not only to see incredible cats, but also get an insight into the global conservation work being done from at the Headcorn site. Visitors can also look forward to arena displays of falconry and demonstrations of the work of anti-poaching dogs, as well as a range of entertainments.
