A trio of West End musicals are heading to Norwich Theatre Royal this autumn and they look Truly Scrumptious.

1. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

When: September 24-29 2024

This much-loved musical is based on Ian Fleming's children's book and the famous 1968 film adaptation. 

It follows absent-minded inventor Caractacus Potts, played by star of stage and screen Adam Garcia, as he restores a broken-down racing car with the help of his children Jemima and Jeremy.

It is bursting with catchy songs by the Sherman Brothers, such as Truly Scrumptious and Toot Sweets, and EastEnders' Charlie Brooks plays The Childcatcher in Norwich.

2. Here You Come Again

When: October 8-12 2024

Experience all of Dolly Parton’s biggest hits in a joyous new musical comedy.

This will include Jolene, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, I Will Always Love You and Here You Come Again.

lt tells the story of a diehard fan whose fantasy version of the international star gets him through trying times.

See the show in Norwich on tour before it heads to the West End, with the London venue yet to be revealed.

3. Come From Away

When: October 15-26 2024

This award-winning musical has wowed audiences on both Broadway and the West End.

It shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11.

The first female American Airlines captain, the quick-thinking town mayor, the mother of a New York firefighter and the eager local news reporter are among the many real characters who feature in the show. 

The ensemble cast includes Casualty star Amanda Henderson, who appeared in the Norwich Theatre Royal panto in 2019 and 2022.
