Suffolk magazine has said goodbye to its editor after a remarkable 13 year stint.
Jayne Lindill, who is Suffolk born and bred, has been editing Suffolk magazine since 2011.
Jayne trained with the EADT after leaving school and worked on the EADT and Evening Star.
Well traveled, she worked in London, Australia and Japan as a journalist, and covered everything from news and features, corporate roles, video scriptwriting and producing until taking up her role back home at the helm of Suffolk magazine.
During her time at the magazine, Jayne oversaw numerous events including the Suffolk Food and Drink awards, as well as growing and developing the magazine to become the very best place in Suffolk to find out about all the very best things to see and do in the county.
Jayne said: "Editing Suffolk magazine has been the best job of my life. It’s been a real joy to produce a magazine that celebrates the place where I was born and brought up, and where my roots run deepest.
"I’ve met some fascinating people, worked with extraordinarily talented colleagues and contributors. Thank you to every one of them who have helped to make Suffolk magazine great and my job so enjoyable.
"I’ve learned a lot about the county I call home, and I’m now going to enjoy it."
Although Jayne is looking forward to a long and happy retirement, she is also planning to continue contributing articles to Suffolk magazine as well as other publications.
Liz Nice, Regional editor for Suffolk said: "Jayne is one of the best colleagues I've ever worked with. Always supportive, great fun and one of the very best editors you'll ever meet. She never forgot her audience and fought for her magazine and her readers in that quiet and considered way of hers to ensure her magazine was always exactly right for them. We will all miss her terribly but look forward to hearing of her next adventures."
A new editor will be announced soon. In the meantime, contact liz.nice@newsquest.co.uk on Suffolk magazine related matters.
