Critically acclaimed musical parody Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch is embarking on a tour across the UK and is showing at the Grand Opera House York June 11 - 15. 

The show, written and directed by Leeds-born Robyn Grant, has an original hot pop soundtrack and trademark filthy humour, the show follows Disney Diva Ursula as she gives her take on what really happened all those years ago under the sea. Unfortunate tours off the back of a phenomenal 10-week London run, with rave reviews and six Off West End Theatre Award nominations – one of the highest for any show in the past year.

Grant, Foxx and Gilvin say 'We hope you leave ready to take on the world, aching from booming villainous laughter and considering an undercut. We've had the absolute most fun making this glorious monstrosity, we hope you enjoy your time with her too' Shawna Hamic (Orange is the New Black, 1776 on Broadway) leads the cast as Ursula, opposite Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK star River Medway as Ariel. They are joined by Thomas Lowe (Triton), Allie Dart (Sebastian), Jamie Mawson (Eric), Julian Capolei (Grimsby) and Corrina Buchan, Jack Gray, Jamie McKillop and Milly Willows in the ensemble. Casting is by Sarah Leung CDG. 

Originally from Leeds, Robyn Grant is a director, writer and performer who specialises in comedy and creating exciting roles for women and is also currently the Associate Director on the 2:22 A Ghost Story. Her work has won and been nominated for several awards including Theatre Weekly’s Best Musical of the Edinburgh Fringe two years running.
