OSKIA does not sounds like very British kind of name for a skincare brand – it essentially combines two Greek words to create the meaning ‘to deliver beauty’.

Yet the made-in-Wales ‘nutri-cosmeceutical’ brand has proved a beauty powerhouse largely thanks to a magic ingredient known as MSM – once best known for treating horses!

Brand founder Georgie Cleeve was given the supplement when as a teenager she suffered joint pains – it was used for regenerating the cartilage in racehorses.

‘An unexpected side effect was that my skin completely changed condition – from poor, unhealthy, eczema prone skin, to bright and healthy looking.’

OSKIA’s MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural form of organic sulphur, commonly known as the ‘beauty mineral’. With its natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, MSM plays an important role in the body’s creation of collagen – essential for both skin and joints. The bio-nutritional formulations are created by doctors, nutritionists, cosmetic scientists and skincare specialists, manufactured at a laboratory and factory in Wales.

A treatment menu from OSKIA is now available in a new clinic on the second floor of the Swinton Country Club in Masham. Treatments combine OSKIA skincare products with bespoke anti-ageing massage techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as acupressure, reflex and lymph drainage and gentle enzyme AHA peels.

The OSKIA treatments sit alongside the Bamford range of products and treatments available in the Swinton Country Club. Those enjoying OSKIA treatments can also add in a visit to the contemporary spa, including beautiful indoor pools, outdoor ‘natural’ pool, ‘wild swimming’ in the grounds, thermal experiences and spa gardens to nourish the soul as well as the body and skin.

A selection of OSKIA skincare products are also be available from the Swinton Estate Shop, located within the Swinton Country Club, for anyone wishing to extend their treatment at home. The shop is also open daily to the public.
